A solar panel, or photovoltaic (PV) module, typically consists of solar cells, a glass cover, a protective backsheet, and a metal frame. The solar cells, often made of crystalline silicon, convert sunlight into electricity. The glass cover protects the cells from the elements, and the backsheet provides additional insulation and weather resistance.
